  • How long are Classes?

    Reformer, Sculpt and Circuit classes are all 45minutes long.

  • Do I need to have experience to start?

    Pilates classes are tailored to suit everyone, irrespective of fitness level.

  • Where are you located?

    Our beautiful home studio located 243-247 Buccan Road, Buccan

  • What does Child-Friendly mean?

    Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have a creche, however, for sessions that have advised ‘Child-Friendly’ please feel free to bring your child/ren along. They are happy to sit, communicate, and play with other children.

    As a mother myself, I know that fitness and your mental health are important, and you may not always have someone to mind your child/ren.

  • Why do you prefer monthly memberships and not weekly?

    As a busy mum myself I can understand that some weeks/days just don’t go to plan. This way you don’t compromise on cost and can be more flexible, encouraging you to be more connected to you and your environment. I understand the need for routine and commitment and also a need for more stability with finances, if this is you, the option for weekly is also available.

    Be committed to you in our world of chaos. It’s about the choices and our monthly options allow you to do just that!

  • Do you have a refund/cancellation policy?

    As we know you will LOVE our classes, we do not offer refunds on any class purchases.

    LATE CANCEL AND NO-SHOW

    • If you pre-book a Pilates class and fail to cancel within 2 hours prior, you will be charged a late fee of $5.

    • If you have a Pilates session card, you will lose the class if you don’t cancel early.

    • The late cancel/no-show fee for Pilates and Coaching is non-refundable.

    • If you pre-book a Coaching session and fail to cancel within 2 hours prior, you will be charged a fee of $25.

  • Do I need to book?

    All classes are pre-paid and pre-booked via our appointment scheduling system. We do ask that you arrive at the studio no more than 5 minutes prior as parking is limited. This time allows for all clients to move freely within the parking space available.

  • What is Circuit, Sculpt, Reformer, Coaching?

  • I am new to Pilates- can I still try a class?

    Of course, you can! Here at ALT♡Mind Body Spirit, all classes are designed to be accessible to all, tailoring to suit your individual needs.

  • What are the benefits of Pilates?

    Pilates is well known for being incredibly beneficial. Pilates promotes mobility and strength of all the major muscle groups in a balanced method, whilst also having a key focus on the deep core muscles. With reduced impact, great for your joints it helps to improve posture, flexibility, strength, balance, and body awareness. The ability to tailor movement to suit everyone from rehab to elite athletes, complimenting other methods of exercise.

    It is also incredibly fun and can be a great way to meet new friends!

  • What should I wear?

    It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing that helps you move freely. Grip socks are not a necessity for Reformer Pilates but you may find movement easier with them. We will have Grip socks for purchase soon.

  • Do I need a Mat?

    We do have mats available in studio to borrow, however if you have your own, we encourage you to use that. We do recommend bringing a towel for use on reformers and to help with sweat!

  • What do I need to bring to class?

    Bring your water bottle and a gym towel. Everything else is supplied at the studio.

  • How many classes should I do a week?

    Memberships and Session cards are designed to suit your fitness and financial needs.

    1-2 classes/ week will help supplement a healthy routine and get you working towards your goals.

    3-4 classes/per, week will provide you will the ideal benefits of Pilates, providing your body with enough stimulus for the muscles to get stronger, leading to improvements in posture, flexibility, and muscle tone.

    4+ classes/ week is best if you are not participating in any other fitness routine. 4+ classes with have you working towards a strong and flexible body, whilst perfecting technique.

  • How many coaching sessions should I commit to?

    Here at ALT♡Mind Body Spirit, I don’t believe in a set number. There are a variety of factors that will determine how you move toward your desired goals. I believe in trusting your intuitive powers and providing you with the tools you need so you won’t need to continuously return, once you have all the skills you need.

  • How long does it take to see results?

    As Joseph Pilates himself famously said, “you will feel a change after 10 sessions, you will see a change after 20 sessions, and you will have a new body after 30 sessions.”

    As for our ALT♡ Coaching, I would hope for you to feel a connection by the end of our first session, and trust that I am the right person for you to move forward. As for results, this ultimately depends on your goals and a variety of different factors. My aim is to get you achieving your goals as authentically and raw as possible.

  • Do we have a creche?

    Unfortunately, we don’t, however as a mum myself I have Child-Friendly classes on the timetable so you can bring them along.
